It's hard sometimes to know what's the right direction. At least for me.
But one thing I believe to be true, is to just move in one direction - with the mindfulness of improving or seeking God... and you'll get there... by whatever path is necessary.

I'm a 57 year old seeker. I recently found, Autobiography of a Yogi. Its quite inspiring. This is how I found your blog. I looked up searching for a guru. I see you've investigated many different paths. So have I. So naturally I was curious about you. I looked up your name on the net and you share a name of a well know celebrity. I am not a fan and know nothing of this celebrities music, but I was curious to know if you and he were the same person. (Marilyn Manson)
Hi Rick, Autobiography of a Yogi is very good. If you are interested in the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda, I'd recommend the group: Ananda.org Every teacher I've met through that organization has been very patient and peaceful. SRF is another alternative.
Regarding Marilyn Manson... No, I'm not him. I have received death threats intended for him, I've received calls from drug dealers and groupies trying to hook up with him. But I'm not him. :)
I've followed his life, and I believe he is also a spiritual seeker, however his path is different then mine. But he has been seeking truth in his own way.
Nice to hear from you Rick, I wish you well on your spiritual quest.
