What are lifetrons?
Yogananda mentions them in his Diary of a Yogi. But what are they?
I was reading his massive work, "The Second Coming of Christ: The resurrection of the Christ within you," he gives a brief definition:
on page 14 of Volume 1, he says that "These causal ideas emit a magnetic force of light and intelligent energy, which I have called lifetrons, that form the astral body of man."

Yogananda created the English word "lifetrons" to describe to the West the Sanskrit word "Prana". In AOY defined as "subtle life forces or finer-than-atomic energies." When we breathe, we breathe in this pranic life force, not just oxygen. I think Yogananda thought of electrons and protons when creating the name lifetrons. Sometimes you can feel this very subtle energy flowing in the body, or feel it first entering through the back of the head. Doing Yogananda's Energization Exercises with deep concentration can reveal this over time as well.

Oxygen in sushumna is converted into lifetrons or physiological particles
Lifetrons fascinated me when I first heard of them. The very notion portends grander gestalts of human evolution. After Samadhi one witnesses the conjugations of Lifetrons through everything, even motivity itself resonates of Lifetrons.
